Terrey Hills artist residency exhibition to open at Eramboo on 22 June

A six-month artist residency on the Northern Beaches will culminate next week in a public exhibition at Eramboo Artist Environment in Terrey Hills, with photomedia artist Remi Siciliano presenting new work shaped by the area's coastal landscape. The exhibition, Erosion Studies, runs from Monday 22 June to Monday 6 July and gives locals a chance to see how one of the region's long-running creative programs translates studio research into finished work.

A six-month artist residency on the Northern Beaches will culminate next week in a public exhibition at Eramboo Artist Environment in Terrey Hills, with photomedia artist Remi Siciliano presenting new work shaped by the area's coastal landscape. The exhibition, Erosion Studies, runs from Monday 22 June to Monday 6 July and gives locals a chance to see how one of the region's long-running creative programs translates studio research into finished work. According to the fact pack released by Northern Beaches Council, Siciliano developed the exhibition during a six-month residency supported by council and Eramboo. The program provides a mid-career artist with free non-residential studio space at the Terrey Hills site, professional development support and access to Eramboo's networks, along with a $3000 materials allowance. Erosion Studies is described as a series of photographic and photo-sculptural experiments informed by the movement and liveliness of local coastal geology. Siciliano works mainly with analogue photography and focuses on ecology, place and collaboration with the natural world, using what they describe as Ecological Image-Making.
