NSW Police and NSW Ambulance arrived to find the woman lying in the middle of the road after being struck while crossing at the traffic lights. In the immediate aftermath, there was confusion about what type of vehicle had hit her. Bystanders told responders the vehicle may have been a motorbike or an electric-powered bike, with one witness describing it as loud, while other evidence pointed to an electric motorbike or e-bike.
