North Narrabeen Surf Life Saving Club is set to undergo its most significant transformation in decades, after Northern Beaches Council voted to commit $10 million towards a complete redevelopment of the club's ageing facilities at Narrabeen Beach. The decision, passed at the Council's 19 May meeting, marks a major milestone for one of the Northern Beaches' most storied volunteer organisations and the broader Narrabeen community. The existing clubhouse, which has been in continuous use since the 1960s, has long been identified as inadequate for the demands placed on a modern surf lifesaving club. North Narrabeen SLSC is one of the busiest clubs on the Northern Beaches, with hundreds of active members including nippers, competitive athletes, and volunteer patrol members who collectively perform thousands of hours of beach safety duties each year.
