Northern Beaches Council is calling on the NSW Government to commit to stronger investment and clearer long-term action to upgrade the region’s road and transport network, arguing congestion and infrastructure constraints are already affecting residents’ day-to-day travel.

Northern Beaches Council is calling on the NSW Government to commit to stronger investment and clearer long-term action to upgrade the region’s road and transport network, arguing congestion and infrastructure constraints are already affecting residents’ day-to-day travel. The Council has made the case in a submission to Transport for NSW (TfNSW), supporting the Northern Beaches Network Review as a step toward tackling longstanding transport problems, but warning the review’s scope does not capture broader pressures and emerging issues beyond the corridors identified. The Northern Beaches Network Review looks at key arterial routes including Mona Vale Road, Warringah Road, Military Road/Spit Road, Pittwater Road and the Pacific Highway.
