Planning work for the Manly Health and Wellbeing Precinct has moved into a new stage, with Aveo saying it is now preparing a Concept State Significant Development Application that it expects to lodge by mid-2026 — a step that would trigger a formal statutory assessment and public exhibition process.

Planning work for the Manly Health and Wellbeing Precinct has moved into a new stage, with Aveo saying it is now preparing a Concept State Significant Development Application that it expects to lodge by mid-2026 — a step that would trigger a formal statutory assessment and public exhibition process. In a February update, Aveo said the project has progressed since late 2025 across “planning, design and technical assessment streams”, and that its technical consultants have finalised the project’s due diligence program. Aveo said the major technical reports required under the Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) are progressing toward lodgement as part of the formal development application. The studies underway cover built form and visual impact, traffic and transport, biodiversity, heritage and social impact. The concept application being prepared is the Concept State Significant Development Application (SSDA), which Aveo said will outline how the project meets State and Local planning requirements, minimises environmental impacts, and responds to feedback from the community and stakeholders.
