Nominations are open for the 2026 Local Business Awards, with Northern Beaches Council encouraging businesses and residents to put forward entries ahead of an awards night at Dee Why RSL on Monday 29 June.

Nominations are open for the 2026 Local Business Awards, with Northern Beaches Council encouraging businesses and residents to put forward entries ahead of an awards night at Dee Why RSL on Monday 29 June. Council said nominations opened on Wednesday 8 April and will close on Wednesday 20 May 2026. Mayor Sue Heins said Council is sponsoring two categories: the Disability Inclusion Award and the Business Sustainability Award. Heins encouraged business owners to nominate themselves and also urged locals to nominate businesses they believe are performing strongly. “If you’re running a business, this is your opportunity. Nominate your business, back your team and put your achievements forward. You can also nominate other businesses you know are delivering exceptional results,” she said. Council said the Disability Inclusion Business Award is intended to recognise businesses that actively create welcoming, accessible and inclusive experiences for all.
