A development application (DA) was lodged on 7 May 2026 for a new multi-purpose facility that will serve both local sporting clubs and the broader public.

The new proposal has been shaped by community feedback gathered during an extensive consultation process, with more than 80 per cent of respondents indicating support for the proposed design. ## What the New Facility Will Include The planned building is designed to serve multiple user groups simultaneously. Sailing, model boat and dragon boat clubs will benefit from significantly increased storage capacity, addressing a long-standing shortfall that has constrained club operations.
