The 2025/26 beach patrol season on the Northern Beaches has officially drawn to a close, and by any measure it was a significant one. Across 24 patrolled beaches, lifeguards and volunteer surf lifesavers performed more than 200 rescues and carried out over 3,000 preventive actions — interventions that ranged from directing swimmers away from rips to responding to medical emergencies on the sand.

## A Season to Remember The 2025/26 beach patrol season on the Northern Beaches has officially drawn to a close, and by any measure it was a significant one.
