Shared principal model planned for 14 Catholic primary schools across northern Sydney

Catholic Schools Broken Bay will introduce a shared leadership model across 14 primary schools, with one principal responsible for two schools in each participating parish. The change will affect several Northern Beaches communities and has drawn opposition from the Independent Education Union and parents concerned about consultation, staffing and access to school leadership.

Catholic Schools Broken Bay will introduce a shared leadership model across 14 primary schools, with one principal responsible for two schools in each participating parish. The change will affect several Northern Beaches communities and has drawn opposition from the Independent Education Union and parents concerned about consultation, staffing and access to school leadership. The Northern Beaches pairings are Maria Regina Catholic Primary School at Avalon and Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School at Mona Vale; St Joseph's Catholic Primary School at Narrabeen and St Rose Catholic Primary School at Collaroy; St John the Apostle Catholic Primary School at Narraweena and St Kevin's Catholic Primary School at Dee Why; Our Lady of Good Counsel at Forestville and St Martin's Catholic Primary School at Davidson; and St Mary's Catholic Primary School at Manly and St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School at Freshwater.
