A free community panel at Manly Art Gallery & Museum will bring together specialists in art, science and environmental advocacy to consider how people can build a more cooperative relationship with nature. CEAD Panel 2026: Imagining our Symbiotic Future will run from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Thursday 10 September 2026. The discussion will feature Symbiocene Institute founder and Executive Director Andy Marks, photo-media artist Anne Zahalka and dark sky advocate Marnie Ogg. ABC Radio National Science Editor Dr Jonathan Webb will guide the conversation. Speakers will explore how art, design and science can generate practical ideas about climate, biodiversity, sustainability and the way communities live with their surrounding environment. The panel's central question is whether the future can be shaped less by taking from nature and more by working with it. This year's theme is symbiosis, focusing on connections between people, the natural world and the places they call home.
