Manly Fast Ferry services will continue between Manly and Circular Quay throughout the stoppage. However, demand is likely to rise sharply as passengers who would normally use Sydney Ferries seek an alternative. Longer queues are expected at Manly Wharf, and travellers should allow more time even if they plan to use the fast ferry. The Maritime Union of Australia will also impose a ban on selling, collecting or validating tickets and fares from 1pm on Wednesday until 2am on Thursday 3 September. Transport for NSW said it had been notified of further work bans and limitations, which were still being assessed with Transdev Sydney Ferries.
