Freshwater Campus opens 2027 Year 8 enrolments as junior school expands

Freshwater Campus has opened Year 8 enrolments for 2027, giving Northern Beaches families another option for students considering a change of school after Year 7. The campus is planning for approximately 120 Year 8 students, who will arrive alongside its first Year 7 cohort as Freshwater begins expanding from a senior-only school. Principal Chantelle Phair said the inaugural Year 8 students would have the advantage of starting together rather than entering a cohort whose friendships and routines were already established. "They won't be joining an established cohort or trying to find their place among students who have already been together at the school for a year," she said. "As our inaugural Year 8 cohort, they will help shape the culture and traditions of the junior school from the outset." A dedicated transition program is being developed to help the new students become familiar with the campus, meet staff and classmates, and settle in before their first day.
