Northern Beaches homeowners weighing up whether to build a duplex can get an initial guide to the planning, design and financial issues at a free masterclass in Brookvale on Thursday 24 September. The session is aimed at residents who want to make better use of their land without leaving their suburb, including those considering multi-generational living, an additional property or a future subdivision. The Northern Beaches Duplex Masterclass will be hosted by local builders Anthony and Tony Raco, managing directors of the G.J. Gardner Homes Northern Beaches franchise. The 90-minute session will run at the company's design studio at 517 Pittwater Road, Brookvale, and will include an interactive question-and-answer segment and time for individual project discussions. The session follows planning reforms that allow dual occupancies and semi-detached dwellings in R2 Low Density zones on the Northern Beaches with development consent.
