Northern Beaches Council has adopted a 10-year strategy to guide its early learning services as the local population and families' needs continue to change. The plan will shape services providing 691 places each day across the Northern Beaches and currently supporting 1,221 families.

Northern Beaches Council has adopted a 10-year strategy to guide its early learning services as the local population and families' needs continue to change. The plan will shape services providing 691 places each day across the Northern Beaches and currently supporting 1,221 families. The Early Learning Strategy 2026-2035 covers Council's seven long day care centres, three community preschools and family day care service. It sets the direction for how those services will support children, families and educators over the next decade. A central priority is making services integrated and accessible while keeping Council-run education and care flexible, inclusive and affordable. The strategy also calls for services to remain connected to the practical needs of local families as the community grows. Workforce planning is another focus, reflecting the importance of having educators available to deliver consistent services across Council's centres and programs.
