Northern Beaches Council has secured a $2 million NSW Government grant to upgrade Miller Reserve in Manly Vale, with plans to improve field availability and add new exercise and recreation facilities. The project is expected to benefit local sporting clubs and residents who use the reserve for training, competition and physical activity. The four-hectare reserve sits at the corner of Campbell Parade and Condamine Street. Its multipurpose fields are used primarily for soccer and cricket, and the planned work will activate underused parts of the site to provide additional natural sports fields. New irrigation and drainage systems will be installed across both the new and existing fields. The improvements are intended to lift surface quality, reduce wet-weather closures and make the grounds available more consistently throughout the year. LED sports lighting is also included in the project, allowing greater use of the reserve after dark for games and training.
