Three teenage girls have been refused bail after an alleged assault and robbery on The Corso in Manly left a 16-year-old girl with facial injuries and a suspected broken finger. The incident is significant for locals because it took place in one of the area’s busiest public precincts late on a weekend night.

Three teenage girls have been refused bail after an alleged assault and robbery on The Corso in Manly left a 16-year-old girl with facial injuries and a suspected broken finger. The incident is significant for locals because it took place in one of the area’s busiest public precincts late on a weekend night. Police attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command were called to The Corso about 11pm on Saturday 11 July 2026. When officers arrived, they found the teenage girl with facial injuries, cuts, scratches, abrasions and a suspected broken finger. The girl was taken to hospital for treatment while police began inquiries into what had happened. Police will allege she was assaulted by three girls before being robbed. With help from members of the public, police later arrested three girls at Dee Why and took them to Manly Police Station. Those arrested were two 16-year-olds and an 18-year-old woman. One of the 16-year-old girls was charged with two counts of common assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and aggravated robbery.
