Police said officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command began investigating in May 2026 after reports of multiple break and enters in the Northern Beaches and South Sydney areas. The alleged offending is said to have continued between May and July, with properties in Manly Vale, Balgowlah, Manly, Seaforth, Rosebery and Mascot among those targeted. According to police, the items allegedly stolen included two motorcycles, three e-bikes, a desktop computer, a dashcam device, keys, a wallet and a handbag.
