A multi-agency search resumed at Manly's North Head on the morning of 6 July as police continued efforts to find missing 54-year-old Matthew Bowen. The search matters well beyond Manly, with police and Mr Bowen's family concerned for his welfare because he lives with a medical condition.
A multi-agency search resumed at Manly's North Head on the morning of 6 July as police continued efforts to find missing 54-year-old Matthew Bowen. The search matters well beyond Manly, with police and Mr Bowen's family concerned for his welfare because he lives with a medical condition. Mr Bowen was last seen on West Promenade, Manly, about 8pm on Friday 29 May. Northern Beaches Police Area Command was notified at 12.30pm on Friday 12 June after he could not be located or contacted, and officers then began inquiries into his whereabouts. Police say Mr Bowen is of Caucasian appearance, about 175cm tall, of medium build, with red hair, a grey beard and brown eyes. He also has a distinctive tattoo on his right shoulder. As of midday on Sunday, he had still not been located. Anyone with information about Mr Bowen's whereabouts is being urged to contact Manly Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. The renewed search at North Head underlines that the investigation remains active more than a month after he was last seen.
