Emergency services were called just before 10.45am on Tuesday, 23 June, after reports that a person was trapped in a vehicle at the residential property. The white 2020 Subaru XV had been reversing down the driveway when the driver lost control, sending the car through a metal pool fence and into the water. The rear of the vehicle plunged into the pool and the car came to rest at about a 45-degree angle, with its front wheels still perched on the paved edge. By the time crews arrived, the driver had managed to get out of the vehicle himself. He jumped into the pool, waded through chest-deep water to the pool ladder and climbed out.
